“REBUILDING HOPE” FUND FOR THE UKRAINIAN DIRECT SELLING ASSOCIATION
Since the end of February, Direct Selling companies’ operations in Ukraine have either stopped or are severely disrupted. As they are not generating revenue, the Ukrainian Direct Selling Association budget has been reduced to the minimum as a consequence.
Companies and direct sellers are eager to resume activities as soon as possible. Until local business branches can support the association activities again, this fund would enable the Ukrainian Direct Selling Association to function, be a platform for exchange and guidance for companies rebuilding locally, and finance campaigns and programmes to help re-build the Ukrainian direct selling sector.
Your support will enable the Direct Selling Association of Ukraine to undertake the following projects:
- Restarting the Ukrainian economy and creating new incentives for the development of self-employment and entrepreneurship in Ukraine.
The decline in Ukraine’s GDP in 2022 will be from 35% to 45% (forecast of the World Bank and the IMF). Only reforms and new rules for small and medium-size businesses will help restore economic growth. At the end of April, President Zelensky created the National Council for the Recovery of Ukraine from the consequences of the war. The DSA of Ukraine has been invited to become a member of this Council to help develop legislation to promote private entrepreneurship and small businesses.
- Supporting women entrepreneurship and self-employment during a period of economic crisis and high unemployment.
Many Ukrainians lost their jobs. The Ukrainian economy has to be rebuilt. The DSA of Ukraine wants to collaborate with employment centres and local authorities to prop up entrepreneurship access and training, especially for women. This would help support families returning to Ukraine, in Ukraine and help address labour migration.
- Amplifying awareness programmes for consumers.
The Ukrainian DSA partners with consumer organisations to raise awareness of business ethics, the risks of pyramid schemes and other frauds. The unstable economic situation has led to an increase in scammers taking advantage of people in desperate situations. Funding will help to adapt, re-start and amplify this campaign.
Thank you for your donation. Every contribution will help assist the youth and women from Ukraine.
